Rising from slumber,
from endless winters’ chill grasp,
basking in the sun.
Rising from slumber,
from endless winters’ chill grasp,
basking in the sun.
I am crying now. Not because no one except Britanny has written in my askbox, but because I have never been so happy. Skim through my blog, you’ll find my pain scrying for your presence, any whisper of your return. You can’t fall off my universe without notice like that again. I forbid you to….
I am beyond touched, brother, and truly sorry for the unannounced exit. Thank you for this note. It means a lot to me.
Blessed agony,
ripped and rent and reformed;
beautiful rebirth.

Again we are seated in the altar
with these branches of supplication.
Tumblrville is filled with the smoke
of burning incense,
with hymns, with laments
from your mourning children.
Our Godfather, where on earth are you?
What kind of trouble could be big
enough for…
A heartfelt thanks for this…
To those who may have missed my presence here, particularly those of you I count as friends, I offer an apology for my abrupt departure. Issues in my personal life required my complete, undiluted attention; still, I regret having failed to at least alert you to my leaving. I hope you will see fit to forgive that slight.
I used my prior blog to vent my excess thoughts, and this blog will be unchanged in that respect. However, those who have followed me in the past will undoubtedly notice a shift in the substance of my posts, and with good reason. Where I was once engaged, in large part, battling despair and uncertainty regarding my marriage, I’m now filled to overflowing with joy I could not have dreamed possible. Fear and regret have given way to hope and celebration. In sum, I’m a happier man than I ever envisioned I might be again. I’ve no doubt that circumstance will influence my writing
One other major change - my wife (we’ll refer to her as “C” until I hear otherwise) is now a part of this blog. She already knows I’m a lusty bastard, so I doubt my future posts will surprise her; still, as you might imagine, I’ll be doing my best to stir her in some tasty respect. If you’re so inclined, reply and say hello to her, so she might come to know the friends I’ve found in this venue.
My first substantive post (below) is a throwback to not so long ago. Its meaning for me has shifted 180 degrees since the time of its creation; still, it holds true.

A new beginning.
